Yeah, finally turned up at my mates garage......aint seen it yet, but I believe it needs drums, and a nose cone......got a spare cone, just got to source some drums.....I think 60-63 split bus ones fit, and possibly type 3's......

Give us a shout......that mud pit could be fun, specially as it aint rained for ages, so what it'll be like in winter guns
Not so good this time of year if you dont like bugs tho..........buggys full of em at the minute..... Very Happy

While I'm here, I reckon I still need to soften the front up, bouncing all over the place....wether fitting my nice heavy bumper/light bar might help, I'll have to see.

New box and Trekker plates turned up.........

Image

Doh.......turns out its not a Trekker box.........came out of one, its just someone in the past 40
yrs fitted a split case pre 60's type 2 in it.....
Guy claims he didnt realise......wish I'd seen a picture, then I would have!!!
Fairly sure I can still use the RGB's on a 'tunnel' box I got, just got to flip the diff, ratios wont be quite as good, but hey ho, live and learn!!!

At least the Spring Plates are Trekker ones......... Rolling Eyes

Hopefully the guy's gonna get another one soon, [correct this time].......and we're gonna sort something out.... Rolling Eyes

But as we all know 'talk is cheap'......

.....on the plus side I can use the axles and reductions on a later gearbox....of which I have a spare. Trouble is its a lot more work than the straight swap I was planning........ surprise
Just gotta wait and see what matey comes up with....... no idea

Bugger it's not the right box, but at least you can use the important bits, even if it is more hassle.
